Affairs of the Globe

There is no excuse for ignorance about global politics and international affairs. If you don’t know any history, anything about current and prospective affairs, you don’t want to know — and as a result, you contribute negatively to global affairs.

stop thinking.

just do shit. you are a genius. do whatever you want.

some thoughts

Sometimes I wonder what infinite is,

And why I ever limited myself.

My friends are not friends,

I don’t care for them a bit.

I want to succeed, I want to prevail,

In my way and in my fashion.

I fear I am wrong,

My conscience eats me,

But when will I be free?

I don’t care for social progress,

I don’t care for the glory,

I care for being me,

Satisfying my spirit,

Satisfying my vanities,

And being the expression God intended me to be.

I want to be free.

beauty came but never left

Beauty came and never left,

Like steady rain upon the steps,

The staircase to a fair place

where air stays below the temp,

A cold room full of sin,

Where gold blooms in women,

And old fools to swallow all

the foolishness within.

Don’t Call Me A Sinner

This poem is dedicated to a persian poet by the name of Rumi. A poem I read from a new edition of a collection of his poetry called The Essential Rumi by Coleman Barks inspired this poem.

Everybody talks shit,

I’m a shit talker too,

When I see a fool do,

What I never would!

Better believe I’ll spew,

The scrutiny I should,

Will it be understood,

I’m no greater than you?

Must be funny when,

After a second or two,

You will come to find,

I’ve committed that crime,

But don’t call me a sinner,

You sin all the time!

Go waste your breath,

While I taste my wine.
