Nothing New – American hypocrisy at GOP Debates

Pretty sure more democrats have lived pay-check to pay-check than Republicans.

On immigration, Rubio cannot backpedal. His family came here illegally. His father worked illegally.

Speaking in vague nationalistic sensationalist terminology is a strategy, not a victory.

Pointing out realities without solutions is worthless.

What does Marco Rubio know about American complicity in propping up non-democratic leaders in the world? What does Marco Rubio know about the association between illegal immigration to America and America’s tacit support for the tyrannical regimes that have pushed their citizenry to abandon their homeland?

Rubio sounds like he’s been programmed by the “privileged white mentality” which is beyond paranoid about losing their “exceptional” status in the world, instead of having to actually work for it and compete fairly. The irony. America touts freedom, but it depends largely on the subjugation of the freedom of other nations.

GOP is just a bunch of meatheads trying to prove who is more popular and who sounds tougher. Who can lie to the American people better? Who can convince the American people to abandon their selfhood for the sake of blind nationalism? For the sake of what, security?

Re-Mixed Economics

To understand America’s race problem, it’s foreign policy problem — TO MAKE SENSE OF ANY of America’s imperfections, one mustn’t overlook perhaps the crux of the entire system’s mishaps altogether: Socio-economics.

When Iggy Azalea recently sounded off on twitter fellow Hip-Hoppers Azealia Banks & Lupe Fiasco got involved. But what caught my attention was Q-Tip’s response, riddled with Marcus Garvey-esque jargon that simply could not escape my attention.

Socio-Economix

The irony is that anarcho-capitalists, in the words of political philosopher Noam Chomsky, libertarians & conservatives alike love to tout capitalism & free market values…but the irony is most of these lobbies & parties are run by individuals who inherited oil-conglomerates, natural gas-conglomerates, & other exploitative & unbalanced business assets.

What kind of self-respect, self-reliance and sense of free market is exhibited here? The capitalist is essentially an insecure business man hungry for power; instead of looking inward at his own merits, he seeks to reap the wealth of the merits of others…even the merits of God by taking ownership of raw materials….

In essence, when practiced, capitalism is exactly the same as communism; focusing all natural wealth at the top, enslaving the majority, & using propaganda to mislead, brainwash & control the masses; suppressing them from even ‘thinking’ they have a chance as socio-economic & political salvation.

Perhaps this is why the United States has never exhibited theoretical capitalism & also why it has drifted closer towards the philosophy of Mixed Economics over the past decade; realizing the inherent flaws behind ‘free-market’ fundamentalism. Perhaps it is also why China drifted further from the extreme left of communism and closer to the center; relinquishing itself from the dogma of all-state-controlled business & political apparatuses. Neither has made a full transition yet; it is difficult to shed the skin of their dogmatic histories. The same is true forRussia.

What is democratic-socialism? How does it differ from capitalism & communism?

In essence democratic-socialism is another name for mixed economics. It is not a pseudo-individualist philosophy, like libertarianism, but rather, places emphasis on individual innovation & places ownership & maintenance of natural-resource-based businesses such as oil, gas, food, water under the auspices of a DEMOCRATICALLY-ELECTED government. While I do think nationalization is an option in some cases, kind of like what Obama did when AIG tanked; I believe we need an unprecedently high tax on the 1% so as to rebalance the economy. This way, all individuals are guaranteed basic human rights & amenities while focusing their time & resources on individual innovation & economic empowerment.

So as Q-Tip explained in his fair warning to Iggy regarding the white community’s place in hip-hop, it is important to understand that this culture emerged as a socio-economic struggle; a response to American negligence & suppression. Before we can overcome issues like race, we must tackle the source of the problem, which is as much caused by hate-filled ideology as it is perpetuated by socio-economic disenfranchisement.

The greatest obstacles to these types of reforms remain largely in the hands of people like the Koch Brothers, AIPAC & every oil, gas & big bank lobbyist. The people must know who they are up against. Our democracy is threatened by a global sense of entitlement & power. Let us fight till the end!

The Trials of Democracy in the 21st Century

Criticism without an alternative is obsolete. Democracy is the only method of government that isn’t absolute. Human nature isn’t absolute.

I have no qualms with free speech; I do believe in respect too. I am a moderate and a follower of the Supreme therefore I do not associate with any ideology or religion except for God and a political ideology of anti-opinion pro-constant change. Human nature like God is an enigma and slavery is akin to ideology, religion, and power.

For critics of democracy, what is your honest alternative?

Libertarians echo grievances without offering alternative to majoritarian democracy.

The only alternative is consensus democracy but ultimately I do not believe this model will even appeal to Americans nonetheless actually work.

It has got to be understood that criticism with no alternative is premature. Churchill once said, democracy is the worst form of government; except all other forms.

This sentiment accurately captures the imperfections, necessity, and ultimately triumph of democracy over all forms of dogma; even those within democracy that seek to stifle it.

Libertarianism

gty_rand_paul_140115_16x9_1600

In essence the rise of Libertarianism in America is nothing to be jovial about because it represents only one thing: the decline of an empire.

Libertarianism is intended to be the solution to America’s governmental and business intrusions into daily life but in reality, the rise of libertarianism is only the signal of the failure of the american nation to be united and the absence of culture in this country; slavery to a system of finite resources and power.

There are many economic and political inconsistencies with Libertarianism that are ignored by its adherents because it is easy to criticize something without an alternative. Libertarianism offers no solution; only criticism. “Perfectionism”.

Libertarianism is actually conservatism fully realized; “god is dead so we’ve got to appeal to the lowest instinct of man – hubris.”

Lot of Libertarians, like Ron Paul himself, don’t realize the fact that Ayn Rand believed the idea of God to be obsolete. How then, can a “christian” man identify with a godless philosophy? The Right-Wing Christians of the US used to claim that communism was the deification of the state. What then, is libertarianism, but the deification of the dollar? The deification of the self?

Why America is un-American: Trials of a Middle Eastern Immigrant

US Flag Around the Earth

They say robust capitalism is the greatest system in our world because it maximizes the benefits of all men in any given society.

This perspective is especially true of the American narrative we are ‘indoctrinated’ into through our public and private institutions.

As an immigrant to this country, I must say, however I am profoundly disappointed.

I came to this country at the age of 6, leaving my homeland, the Middle East.

Both of my parents are Syrian, born and raised in Damascus all of their lives.

I am a proud Syrian.

Deep down, I also want to say that I am a proud Syrian-American, but this country has caused me some pain. Bigotry has caused not only me but much of the world its miseries.

Global misery stems from one over-arching concept: we are all currently suffering from American fascist ideology; unfettered exceptionalism. Manifested, it is in actuality state-capitalism.

Just like China & Russia, the supposed crown-jewels of communism, America uses its ideology as a method of coercion, manipulating capitalism into a dangerous form of Christian-Fascism, in which citizens/constituents are subjugated to a pseudo-democratic system of law that ignores history, statistic & common humanity.

While deep down, I do have much love for this country, or at least, the philosophy for which it attempted to stand, it is without a doubt that a certain religious fascism has crept in, with roots deeply embedded in christian evangelism and zionism. It has left vast communities disenfranchised, ostracized and socio-economically deprived.

I came to this country as an immigrant – and this country made sure to hang that label as an emblem of my un-americaness over my head until my demise.

Obama is trying to fight for immigrants, but the fight is against the same aforementioned ideology embraced by so many Americans: bigotry.

I was forced out of my job nearly a year ago, which left me struggling to make sense of my socio-economic situation. I worked for four years with my last employer before losing the position due to pressure from Republicans to discourage immigration reform and immigration altogether.

But what Republicans don’t understand is that it is precisely the policies of Republicanism which have been implemented on and off by various American officials throughout our short history that have impoverished and completely desecrated other nations and communities. This can be exhibited at one of the peaks of America’s imperial series’ – in South America. Aiding rebels in Nicaragua and overthrowing democratically elected leaders in Chile – how does America not expect an influx of immigrants to the world’s most spiritually and economically promising nations?

How did America become so promising? And why is the rest of the world not?

Generally speaking, in the 21st century, when we refer to prosperous countries, if it isn’t America we mention it is any one of the leading european powers, such as the UK, France & Germany.

America, the crown-jewel of modern christian evangelism, would have you believe in a linear history which places the breakthrough of western democracy in the 18th century as the standard model of global justice.

The ensuing years would prove that the democratic revolutions of other nations would soon be under attack by the vary nation that is supposed to be the ideals’ founding progenitor.

In 1952, Iran’s democratically elected leader, Prime Minister Mossadegh, was overthrown in a covert CIA mission because his policies we deemed a threat to ‘global security’ and the ‘western model for global justice’ and in other words, ‘western capitalism’ (Kinzer, All the Shah’s Men).

But the reality is that the west, as exhibited by their behavior, does not embody the capitalism is touts. Once competitors begin exposing Christian Fascism – they are immediately disenfranchised. Mossadegh of Iran was among those casualties.

America still thinks it is the unbridled hero of the 20th century for bringing an end to state-communism, but the reality is there is a monster hiding in the backyard of America’s philosophical stronghold – Christian Fascism. As the USSR raped the world with collectivist propaganda under the umbrella of communism, the USA put a pill in the drinks of all vulnerable nations under the banner of being the holy arbiters of earth and the rightfully chosen wielders of power and governance.

One man who quickly learned of the USA’s treachery to genuine human rights was a man who himself was conflicted about the definition of human rights himself – Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden, originally an ally of the US, was propped up against the USSR under the banner of Wahhabist Islam and the fight against the political atheism of the east. He soon learned that once the specter of communism was defeated, he would have another enemy – his own friend: the U.S.A. Osama bin Laden may have thought he was fighting for freedom, but he was indeed carrying out the agenda of Christian Fascism – the anti-freedom, imperialist agenda of the West – to stifle communism and other threats to their power. Perhaps it was Osama’s own twisted conception of what constituted a just society that made him vulnerable to American cunning and deception. His foolishness and immoral intent threw him right into the hands of Western deviousness.

The iconoclasts of christian fascism are your Rush Limbaughs, Sarah Palins, Glenn Becks, Sean Hannitys, George Bushs, Dick Cheneys, Donald Rumsfields, Benjamin Netanyahu, etc.

Their greatest allies are their purported enemies: Osama bin Laden, the Muslim Brotherhood, Communism. These are their tools for constant hegemony . The tactic is to constantly generate new enemies and threats that require retaliation and response, thereby justifying foreign escapades and the usurping of foreign resources, aka colonialism/imperialism.

It is this very system that initiated the trans-atlantic slave trade, which has repercussions not only felt today but even unknown. African-Americans suffered the most due to the institutionalization of christian fascism, manifested through segregation and racism. Today, we see the repercussions on a daily basis every time a clearly culpable white police officer shoots and kills an innocent black male. We see it in the way the media portrays the African-American culture, the way in which bias is propagated in order to protect the problems in our institutions.

As an immigrant who is still struggling to obtain ‘normal’ access to America’s abundance, I must say I am very disappointed with the way it has gone. I still support Obama’s initiative, but let it be known that the underlying problem is much much greater. America’s demons are coming back to haunt it every day, as reminder of the crimes it has committed against other nations throughout history.

Will things change? Perhaps. Perhaps not entirely; perhaps not perfectly; perhaps not at all. There is much at stake – one particular issue at stake being the potential humiliation of western christian fascist culture which has had this country in its grip for some time now.

It all starts with knowledge.

Keep in mind, the motive of all action is belief (ethic/religion), which forms ideology, which then manifests itself as a political ideology. If that is understood, it can also be understood that the source of the problem is that an un-ethical belief has a tight grip on America. Once Americans embrace a universal ethical system, the unjust facets of the law may lose ground.

AMERICA TODAY

The supreme court decision has the media in a frenzy echoing that the democratic system is less of a democracy due to campaign finance-budget leeway. (more further down)

In other news…it turns out Glenn Beck has had enough. Wait what?

Apparently, President Obama is no longer tolerable; he must be impeached.

I thought Glenn Beck always wanted Obama impeached.

Okay so Obama is arming rebels in Syria. As the story goes, these guys are struggling for freedom against a tyrannical regime – meanwhile forces are trying to infiltrate; namely the al qaedas, the al nusras, and other terrorist buddies.

The less sensationalist narrative goes like this: the rebels – ALTOGETHER – are immoral in their struggle against the ‘only secular and stable force in the middle east in the last 50 years’ known as the Ba’athist government led by President Assad. In this narrative, the secularism in Syria is being threatened by a force of fundamentalism from within encouraged, incited and largely supported by forces from without.

Starkly contrary to the previous narrative, is it not?

The question is which is true? Who is doing what and why, and for what reason? Obama is awfully sympathetic to the Saudis; but then again – his sympathy for the Israelis is seemingly rocky. The Middle East is a hotbed for violence and social injustice but there is a finite root – a definite cause to all this which supersedes the conventional Hollywood narrative that portrays Arabs as uncivilized tribal creatures that cause their own misery. This perception is largely propagated by the Right-wingers in most countries – coupled with their Islamo-phobia – to justify military escapades abroad in these countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Egypt & Bahrain where the people seem helpless in the face of internationally sustained tyrants.

Arabs are among the world’s cases of colonialism (not to downplay any others) – but the reality is quite true. The establishment of a religious, theocratic state called Israel in 1948, and the funding of various cults, groups and individuals like Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood, create the backdrop for instability, tension and illusory conflict, pinning arabs against each other instead of uniting them in a nationalist initiative.

The Middle East is clouded. Mixed perceptions and propaganda do not help to clear the air, but at the end of the day, it looks to me like the Saudis, the Israelis, the Jordanian Kingdom, the Gulf altogether and all these political entities’ various fundamentalistic satellites in Lebanon, Afghanistan, North Africa, are altogether the cause of social injustice in the Middle East, using dogma to rule, religion to dominate, and money to silence. Their legitimacy? Wahhabiism, imperialism, zionism, conservatism, vanity, etc.

Yet they have the audacity to point at leftist governments such as that of Iran or Syria as the cause of instability in the region. They point at Russia and China as being the leftist-menaces of society – but what about western expansionism? Why the double-standard?

Obama is struggling to initiate even the lightest of leftist reforms in America to address the plight of the poor, the underprivileged, the disenfranchised, the victims of crime, etc. He is still a champion of individual rights, as many leftists are, and while he does support the leftist cause, is still a stern centrist a mon avis, which is in fact exactly why he has been so successful – a great lawyer.

I believe he’s doing his best to uphold the more beautiful tenets of capitalism while brushing off the fundamentalism while he simultaneously works to realign america with the side of justice internationally – as odd and clouded that assertion might be, given recent altercations with Putin in the Ukraine. But overall, I believe Obama is for capitalism and against the anarchy of right-wing pseudo-capitalists. Once the lobbying of these guys is stymied or defeated competitively, if possible, we might see more positive change in this country and abroad. With the Supreme Court ruling against limits on campaign funding, it looks like its going to be a bitter competition till the end. Is that fair? I guess it’s part of the endless struggle for justice in this world. Keep pushing.

Israel?

Israel?

Is the two-state solution, like the entirety of the concept of a ‘Modern Israel” – a farce? Demographics, as well as rational science, as well as religion, altogether, show that Palestinians not only outnumber Jews – they are living under apartheid-like conditions; without sovereignty, dignity, and and natural human rights. The tale is that this is the Jews’ home. Even if that is true – why demand the existence of a 5000 year old zionist state? It is not only scientifically bewildering but even theologically inaccurate – according to both ancient Jewish, Islamic and Christian religious texts.

The horrors of the holocaust are now only being repeated in Palestine, which only serves to paint a new picture where the inhumane Nazi extermination plan eventually fulfilled the creation of another fascist state – Israel. The British ensured the creation of Israel, when the Jews could have merely enjoyed living as nationals in other countries, celebrating their religion – I mean, the Nazis were defeated eventually, were they not? You see, unlike the ‘concept’ of Israel, Palestine is a secular country belonging to all religions. Zionism, au contraire, is the new Nazism folks.
