Life is not about being the best; it is about loving what you do, and doing it the way you want to do it. Events in the Middle East are so predictable. The world is so pretentious. As is America. This whole world full of people and systems and social constructs that pin us against ourselves and our friends and our families and our God all because of our desire to appear flawless, great. These crazy standards. These hypocritical standards. Why do they exist, because we get comfortable and proud? How we become evil. What a shame. Capitalism is one big lie. Individualism is one big lie. Vanity is one big lie. All these lies built out of man’s thinking that he can be greater than good — he can be something more prestigious and powerful. It creates pleasure instead of giving us meaning. How pathetic.
